Before you ask for a quote, decide
- What is the turf for: family yard, dog area, putting green, playground or sports area?
- Whole yard or specific areas, such as front yard, back yard or dog run?
- Whether a deadline applies, such as a move-in date or a planned event.
Questions to ask every company
- What exactly is included: product type and pile height, infill type, base preparation and depth, edging, drainage, and warranty terms?
- What base and drainage system do you build, and how do you handle pet areas and odor control?
- Which product do you recommend for my use (family yard, dogs, putting green, playground) and why?
- Who does the work — your own crew or subcontractors — what is the timeline, and what disruption should I expect?
- What does the warranty cover, product versus labor, for how long, does it transfer to a new owner, and what maintenance does it require?
- Is the price a firm written quote for this exact scope, and what would change it?
